In a joint collaboration between the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Pakistan and the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Tunisia in Lahore, a special event “Tunisia Night” was organized on December 12th at the Honorary Consulate’s headquarters.
The event witnessed a distinguished gathering of diplomats, cultural stakeholders, and business leaders, reflecting the profound cultural and diplomatic significance of the occasion.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of high-ranking government officials, led by the Federal Minister for Energy (Petroleum Division), Mr. Ali Pervaiz Malik; Pakistan Cricket Board official, Mr. Yahya Ghaznavi; and the Chairman of the Lahore Arts Council, Mr. Razi Ahmed.
The event also extended a warm welcome to members of the Tunisian community residing in Lahore.
During the proceedings, speakers emphasized the great importance Tunisia attaches to strengthening cooperation with Lahore, the capital of the Punjab province, acknowledging its status as Pakistan’s economic and cultural hub.
In his remarks, Mr. Mohammad Hameed, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Tunisia in Lahore, lauded the excellence of the bilateral relations between Tunisia and Pakistan and on this occasion, he unveiled the Honorary Consulate’s work program for the year 2026, describing it as a rich and comprehensive roadmap featuring a diverse array of activities and initiatives aimed at further consolidating ties across various cultural and economic sectors.
