ISLAMABAD: Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) hosted a High Tea Engagement Programme in Islamabad aimed at promoting Malaysia as a preferred higher education destination for Pakistani students. His Excellency Ambassador Datoā Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
The programme provided a valuable platform for interaction and networking between representatives of Malaysian higher education institutions and key stakeholders from Pakistanās education sector. Delegates from leading Malaysian universities, including the University of Malaya, Universiti Utara Malaysia, Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Asia Pacific University, UCSI University, and the University of Cyberjaya, were present at the event.
The engagement underscored ongoing efforts to strengthen educational cooperation and people-to-people linkages between Malaysia and Pakistan.
Addressing the participants, Ambassador Datoā Azhar highlighted the longstanding friendly relations between Malaysia and Pakistan. He emphasized that Malaysia continues to be an attractive study destination for Pakistani students due to its high-quality education system, internationally recognized universities, multicultural environment, and affordable tuition fees. He also noted the growing number of Pakistani students enrolled in Malaysian institutions, contributing positively to academic and cultural exchange.
Mr. Moeen Ahmed, EMGS Regional Head for South Asia, also addressed the gathering and encouraged Pakistani students to consider Malaysia for higher education. He highlighted Malaysiaās strong academic standards, industry-oriented programmes, and student-friendly policies, reaffirming EMGSās commitment to facilitating international students throughout their educational journey.
