ISLAMABAD (MNN); The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Pakistan will tour England next year for a five-match One-Day International (ODI) series as part of its preparations for the ICC Menâs Cricket World Cup 2027.
The five-match series will begin on May 15 in Southampton, followed by fixtures in Manchester (May 19), Leeds (May 21), Chester-le-Street (May 23) and Cardiff (May 26).
According to the PCB, the series will provide valuable match practice for both Pakistan and England ahead of the ICC Menâs Cricket World Cup 2027, which will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia from October 4 to November 21, 2027.
Pakistan currently occupy fifth place in the ICC Menâs ODI rankings, while England are ranked seventh.
Before the ODI tour, Pakistan are scheduled to return to England next month for a three-match Test series, which will be played from August 19 to September 13.
Pakistan last played an ODI series in England in 2021, where former captain Babar Azam finished as the highest run-scorer with 177 runs, including an outstanding 158-run innings in the third ODI.
