ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the United States Embassy in the Diplomatic Enclave, where he held an important meeting with US Ambassador Natalie Baker.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on strengthening Pakistan-US relations and the current regional situation. They also exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and regional peace and stability.
Security arrangements for the second round of the Islamabad talks were also discussed during the meeting. The US ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s sincere efforts in helping reduce regional tensions.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed Ambassador Natalie Baker on the security measures put in place for the second round of the Islamabad talks, stating that special security arrangements had been made for all distinguished guests.
He also expressed good wishes for the success of the second round of negotiations.
DG FIA Dr. Usman Anwar, Islamabad Chief Commissioner Sohail Ashraf, Islamabad IG Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon were also present on the occasion.
