ISLAMABAD: The Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad organised a volunteer activity on Friday to commemorate the 74th birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua by providing free medical services to low-income communities.
Held at Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) in collaboration with GAK HealthCare International, the initiative offered free general preventive healthcare consultations and women’s health screening services. The medical camp was well received, with more than 500 patients benefiting from the services.
The embassy said the volunteer activity reflected Thailand’s commitment to promoting public welfare and strengthening people-to-people ties with Pakistan through community-focused initiatives.
Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital, a 600-bed teaching hospital in Islamabad, facilitated the event by providing its medical infrastructure and healthcare professionals. The hospital offers comprehensive healthcare services through a broad range of specialised clinical departments while also serving as a key centre for medical education and professional training in Pakistan.
The event highlighted the spirit of humanitarian cooperation between Thailand and Pakistan, while supporting access to essential healthcare services for underserved communities.
