MOSCOW: Chairperson of Russia’s Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, held bilateral meetings with the heads of electoral authorities from Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Türkiye.
During her meeting with Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan Sikandar Sultan Raja, the two sides discussed arrangements for a Pakistani delegation to observe Russia’s upcoming parliamentary elections, scheduled for September 18–20.
The meeting reflected continued cooperation between Pakistan and Russia in the field of electoral processes and international election observation. Russia’s State Duma elections are scheduled for September 20, 2026, with related electoral activities taking place during the September 18–20 period.
