ISLAMABAD – Ambassador Nicolas Galey and Economic Counsellor Laurent Chopiton recently visited Schlumberger Pakistan, a company proudly rooted in its French origins and known for its strong R&D presence in Clamart.
With a 75-year legacy in Pakistan, Schlumberger has expanded its portfolio to cover Oil & Gas, Digital Solutions, and New Energy, including energy storage, bioenergy, geothermal, carbon capture and storage (CCS), hydrogen, and lithium. The company continues to serve key local partners, including OGDC and PPL, leveraging its global expertise.
During the visit, the delegation engaged in an insightful discussion on digital transformation in the energy sector, emerging mining opportunities in Pakistan, and the value of the French language and educational pathways in France for Pakistani engineers.
Ambassador Galey and Counsellor Chopiton expressed gratitude to Schlumberger for the warm welcome and reiterated the importance of Franco-Pakistani collaboration in driving innovation and a sustainable energy transition.
