ISLAMABAD; Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar met with the Russian Ambassador to Pakistan, Albert P. Khorev.
During the meeting, both sides discussed various aspects of bilateral relations, the natural beauty of Pakistan’s northern areas, promotion of tourism, and media cooperation.
They also reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding between APP and Sputnik News Agency, as well as progress on finalizing a cooperation agreement between Pakistan Television (PTV World) and RT (Russian Television).
Proposals for exchanges of digital influencers and youth delegations under public exchange programmes were also considered.
Attaullah Tarar said that Pakistan and Russia share diplomatic ties based on mutual trust and respect.
The Russian ambassador highlighted that Pakistan’s northern areas offer immense tourism potential and attract tourists from around the world. He noted that Russian tourists have a special interest in visiting Pakistan’s scenic destinations.
He added that relations between Pakistan and Russia will be taken to new dimensions and transformed into a practical partnership.
Both sides agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of media, culture, and tourism.
