ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin met with Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Mna Aurangzeb Khan Khichi. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding Kazakhstan-Pakistan cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, as well as the implementation of agreements reached following the state visit of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Pakistan on February 3-4, 2026, including the provisions of the Roadmap for cultural cooperation.
In the context of the upcoming return visit of Prime Minister of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to Astana, the Ambassador proposed preparing a comprehensive joint cultural program. Minister Khichi supported the proposals and expressed readiness to send Pakistani artists to participate in cultural events. The Pakistani side also invited Kazakh artists to visit Pakistan with a reciprocal cultural program.
Concluding the meeting, Minister Aurangzeb Khan Khichi emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy as one of the key pillars of bilateral engagement and reaffirmed Pakistan’s interest in further deepening cooperation with Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia.
