ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of Japan in Pakistan has announced the MEXT Teachers Training Scholarship Program 2026 for Pakistani teachers with at least five years of teaching experience in primary or secondary schools, both in the public and private sectors. Applicants must be 35 years of age or below
The scholarship, offered by Japanâs Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT), aims to provide Pakistani teachers with the opportunity to conduct research on school education in Japan. Selected candidates will learn modern teaching methodologies and innovative educational practices from Japanese experts to support their professional development.
Under the program, successful applicants will undertake a non-degree teacher training course of up to 18 months at designated educational institutions in Japan. Upon completion of the required coursework, participants will be awarded a certificate by the host university.
The deadline for submitting applications is February 12, 2026.
