BEIRUT: Lebanon is “not aware” of any planned contact with Israel, an official source said, after Donald Trump claimed that leaders of the two countries would speak on Thursday.“We are not aware of any planned contact with the Israeli side, and we have not been informed through official channels,” the source stated.
Trump said the United States was trying to ease tensions between Israel and Lebanon, adding that it had been decades since their leaders last communicated and that talks would take place soon.
