On August 18, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) jointly held a hybrid Russian-Pakistani roundtable on information sovereignty and cybersecurity.
The event brought together Dr. Dmitry Kiku, the RIAC Deputy Director General; Dr. Hassan Jalil Shah, the Principal of NUST Jinnah School of Public Policy and Leadership; Gleb Shubin, the Cultural Attache of the Russian Embassy in Islamabad; Egor Rykov, the International Business Development Manager at Positive Technologies, as well as leading experts from MGIMO and NUST.
During a substantive exchange of views, Russian and Pakistani experts outlined the cybersecurity priorities of Moscow and Islamabad and highlighted the considerable potential for bilateral cooperation in this field.
The participants emphasized the importance of further expanding academic and expert exchanges between the two countries, including through joint research initiatives.
