Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker held a key meeting in Islamabad on Thursday to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in multiple areas.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, along with senior officials, was also present during the talks.
Both sides exchanged views on Pakistan-US relations, security collaboration, and investment opportunities in various sectors, including minerals. The discussions underscored their shared commitment to regional peace, stability, and mutual economic growth.
Mohsin Naqvi praised US President Donald Trump’s role in the Gaza peace agreement, terming his efforts “sincere and historic.” He said the credit for advancing lasting peace in the Middle East goes to President Trump, noting that such diplomatic achievements contribute significantly to regional stability.
