ISLAMABAD; Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev, has conveyed heartfelt greetings to the Pakistani nation on the occasion of the country’s 78th Independence Day, calling August 14 “a day of pride and joy” shaped by dreams, sacrifices, and steadfast faith.
In a congratulatory video message, Tukhtaev said he spoke not only as Uzbekistan’s envoy but also “as a friend and brother,” highlighting that the spirit of independence he witnesses in Pakistan reflects the history of his own country.
“From the snow-capped peaks of the Northern Areas to the waves of the Arabian Sea, Pakistan is blessed with abundant natural resources,” he said, emphasizing that the relationship between the two nations extends beyond formal diplomacy to “a bond of hearts,” strengthened through trade, cultural exchanges, education, and transport cooperation.
The ambassador prayed for Pakistan’s continued strength, unity, and a prosperous future, adding: “May the Pakistani flag always fly high, its people flourish, and every home be filled with peace, love, and hope.”
