ISLAMABAD (MNN); The Embassy of France in Pakistan hosted the first-ever French Alumni Gala Dinner and Awards 2025, celebrating the achievements of Pakistani graduates from French institutions and recognising their professional contributions at national and global levels. The event marked a new milestone in strengthening academic and cultural ties between France and Pakistan, while showcasing the impact of the alumni community across diverse fields.
A total of five outstanding individuals were honoured for their leadership, creativity, and commitment to positive change. The award recipients were:
• Zafar Masud – President & CEO, The Bank of Punjab
• Sadaffe Abid – Founder & CEO, CIRCLE, Social Entrepreneur
• Asad Monga – Chef, Forager & Culinary Entrepreneur
• Aania Alam – Managing Partner & CEO, AEON Advisors
• Fizza Hasan – Founder & Director, Theatre Wallay
Organisers said the theme, “Talents to Change the World,” reflects how each awardee represents the power of international education and the role of French institutions in shaping future leaders.
The ceremony also featured a lively fashion showcase in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD), where students displayed exclusive, custom-made outfits. Their work brought colour and creativity to the gala, highlighting the growing potential of Pakistan’s design industry.
The French Embassy expressed gratitude to alumni, partners, and guests, noting that the event would further strengthen the partnership between Pakistan and France and expand opportunities for future cooperation.
