QUETTA (MNN); Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir on Wednesday reaffirmed that terrorists and their facilitators would not be spared, stating that violence and terrorism cannot be justified under any circumstances.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir made these remarks during his visit to Quetta, where he was given a detailed operational briefing on the current security situation and ongoing internal security operations.
The briefing highlighted recent terrorist incidents carried out by Indian-backed, internationally designated militants linked to Fitna al Hindustan, along with the swift and forceful response by security forces. ISPR said these actions successfully foiled attempts to undermine peace, stability and development in Balochistan.
Pakistan has designated several Balochistan-based militant groups as Fitna al Hindustan to underscore India’s alleged involvement in terrorism and efforts to destabilise the country.
The briefing also covered steps being taken to further strengthen the writ of the state and ensure the security of citizens and critical infrastructure.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated that all terrorists and their supporters would be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law. He praised the professionalism, courage and sacrifices of officers and personnel from all law enforcement agencies for countering anti-Pakistan elements and maintaining law and order.
ISPR said the army chief, along with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, also visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta, where they met injured personnel from the Pakistan Army, Balochistan Frontier Corps and police.
Field Marshal Asim Munir commended the injured personnel for their high morale, bravery and unwavering commitment in defending the country against foreign-sponsored terrorism.
