ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan, Yousuf Sharifzoda, held a meeting with the leadership of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) on February 18, 2026, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in education and scientific research.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed opportunities to expand collaboration in the fields of education and science, including the introduction of student and faculty exchange programs, implementation of joint research initiatives, and stronger institutional linkages between higher education institutions of Tajikistan and Pakistan.
Ambassador Sharifzoda reaffirmed Tajikistan’s commitment to strengthening academic relations and promoting direct cooperation between Tajik universities and NUST. The university leadership also expressed keen interest in advancing mutually beneficial partnerships.
Both parties expressed confidence that the engagement would further promote scientific and research collaboration while contributing to the expansion of educational partnerships between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
