Doha (MNN); Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Qatar on Monday for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
He was received at King Hamad International Airport by Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Qatar Muhammad Amir, and members of the diplomatic staff.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi accompanied the prime minister.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with the Qatari emir, focusing on enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure development, and manpower export. Both sides are also expected to explore avenues to strengthen people-to-people contacts.
The visit highlights the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Qatar and reflects a mutual commitment to expanding both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
