The EU Ambassador Raimundas Karoblis, along with a delegation from the European Investment Bank (EIB) led by Head of Division Edvardas Bumsteinas, visited the Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHFKA) project in Karachi — the world’s largest housing reconstruction initiative.
The delegation reviewed ongoing efforts to rebuild climate-resilient homes for communities devastated by the 2022 floods.
The programme aims to support 2 million rural households across Sindh, ensuring safer, sustainable living conditions for flood-affected families. The European Union — and soon the EIB — reaffirmed their commitment as key partners in this transformative effort, highlighting the long-term impact of resilient infrastructure and international cooperation in disaster recovery.
