China, Russia, and Mongolia have signed the China-Russia-Mongolia Tea Road Tourism Cooperation and Development Plan for 2025–2026 in the northern Mongolian city of Darkhan.
The agreement was concluded on Friday during the 9th tourism ministerial conference of the three countries, aiming to strengthen trilateral cooperation and exchanges in the tourism sector.
Under the plan, the three sides will jointly develop and promote tourism routes and destinations along the historic “Tea Road,” launch a cross-border self-driving tour brand, and enhance convenience for cross-border travel.
Representatives from the tourism departments and related associations of China, Russia, and Mongolia attended the meeting.
During the conference, a China-Russia-Mongolia travel agents meeting was also held, attracting numerous cultural and tourism enterprises as well as industry associations from the three nations.
In addition, a “Tea Road” themed exhibition and the launch ceremony of the “Tea Road” self-driving tour took place alongside the conference, highlighting efforts to promote cultural exchange and regional tourism cooperation.
