Islamabad: Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev, along with Russian Trade Representative Denis Nevzorov, held a meeting with Hinan Humayun and Zohair Baber from the executive team of Pakistani surgical instrument manufacturer Elmed Ltd. to explore prospects for bilateral business cooperation.
The discussions focused on expanding trade ties, particularly the supply of high-quality Pakistani-manufactured surgical instruments to the Russian market. Following the meeting, the Russian delegation toured Elmed Ltd.’s production facilities to observe manufacturing processes and quality standards firsthand.
Ambassador Khorev lauded Pakistan’s surgical instruments industry, stating that Pakistani products are regarded among the best in the world. He described the sector as a powerful example of Pakistan’s “soft power weapon,” highlighting its potential to strengthen economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Russia.
The visit underscored growing interest in enhancing industrial collaboration and diversifying bilateral trade between the two countries.
