ISLAMABAD: The National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC), in collaboration with the British High Commission and Adam Smith International, on Monday organized a consultation session on the National Policy to Combat Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA).
The session brought together a wide range of stakeholders to discuss emerging digital risks faced by children and to explore stronger policy measures focused on prevention, protection, and accountability.
Addressing the consultation, Mr. Khalid Naeem, Member ICT at NCRC, highlighted the Commissionās firm commitment to safeguarding children on digital platforms. He reaffirmed NCRCās resolve to work closely with national and international partners to promote safer online environments and protect children from exploitation and abuse.
Participants emphasized the need for coordinated efforts, evidence-based policymaking, and effective implementation mechanisms to counter online threats and uphold childrenās rights in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The consultation was termed a significant step towards collective action and informed policy development aimed at strengthening child protection frameworks and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the digital age.
