ISLAMABAD, Dec 3 – President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Zhaparov, arrives in Pakistan today for a two-day state visit from December 3–4, at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
According to the Foreign Office, President Zhaparov will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including senior cabinet members, top officials, and leading business figures. During his visit, he is scheduled to meet President Asif Ali Zardari and hold a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, followed by delegation-level talks. He will also address the Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan Business Forum.
The visit aims to review the full spectrum of bilateral relations and explore new opportunities for cooperation in trade, energy, defence, education, people-to-people exchanges, and regional connectivity. The last presidential visit from Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan was in January 2005.
President Zhaparov’s trip highlights the longstanding and brotherly ties between the two nations, grounded in shared history, faith, and mutual goals for peace and prosperity across Central and South Asia. The visit is expected to inject fresh momentum into bilateral cooperation and enhance collaboration at regional and multilateral levels.
