DAVOS: In a move announced at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Pakistan has taken a significant step to deepen cooperation with SOCAR (State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic), the largest and most valuable company in Azerbaijan, with total assets of $57 billion. The agreement aims to expand collaboration across LNG, petroleum supply, and the broader energy value chain, reinforcing Pakistan’s energy security and supporting long-term economic growth.
Officials noted that the development reflects strong confidence in Pakistan’s energy-sector reforms, market depth, and long-term stability. It also underscores the country’s ongoing macroeconomic stabilization and reform momentum, boosting growth prospects and demonstrating rising investor confidence in Pakistan’s economic trajectory.
This partnership with SOCAR is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s energy infrastructure, diversify supply sources, and support the government’s broader agenda of sustainable economic development.
